Currently, odoo does not provide any kind of feature to manage product images from URL. You can do that using this module. You need just past image URL in 'Product Image URL' that's it.

In the Product form view as you can see the filed 'Product image URL'.
Just past image URL in that field it will set as product image.
In the Product Variant form view as you can see the filed 'Product image URL'.
