Lock Chart of Accounts

This module allows you to lock journal entries based on specific charts of accounts and lock dates. It helps maintain the integrity of financial data by preventing any modifications to locked accounts after the defined date.

  • Easily set a lock date to prevent the creation of invoices, bills, credit notes, and refunds.
  • You can restrict expense approvals once the specified lock date.

Go to the User settings and enable the "Special Permission For Lock Accounts" option.


Go to the Accounting ==> Configurations ==> Lock Accounts


In the Lock Accounts form view, add an "Internal Group" and a "lock day".
Click on the "Lock" button.


The account is now in the "Lock" stage.


Go to the User settings and disable the "Special Permission For Lock Accounts" option.


When you create an invoice, a warning pop-up will appear if the account is locked.


When you create a bill, a warning pop-up will appear if the account is locked.


When you create a credit note, a warning message will appear if the account is locked.


When you create a refund, a warning message will appear if the account is locked.


To approve the Expense, click on the "Approve" button.


When a manager tries to approve an expense, a warning message will appear if the account is locked.
